University Heights, Ohio

Ignatian Solidarity Network (ISN) organizes Jesuit schools and universities in the United States, together with their alumni and all interested parties, in training and advocacy for social justice leadership. This is in pursuit of "the service of faith and promotion of justice" that was emphasized by Jesuit Father General Pedro Arrupe and by the Catholic bishops after Vatican II. The founding of ISN was in response to the US connection in the 1989 murders of Jesuits in El Salvador.

John Carroll University (JCU) is a private Jesuit university in University Heights, Ohio. Located in a suburb of Cleveland, it is primarily an undergraduate-focused, liberal arts institution composed of a College of Arts and Sciences and business school. JCU has an enrollment of 3,650 students. Founded in 1886 as St. Ignatius College, it was named after St. Ignatius of Loyola and in 1923 renamed after John Carroll.

Don Shula Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located on the campus of John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio, near Cleveland. Don Shula Stadium is home to the Division III Blue Streaks of John Carroll University and has an official capacity of 5,416 spectators. It also serves as a home for many of the school's varsity, club and intramural athletic programs. The facility is named for Pro Football Hall of Fame coach and former NFL player, Don Shula. Shula was a cornerback for the Blue Streaks in the late 1940s and was drafted in the ninth round of the 1951 NFL Draft.

The Bellefaire Orphanage was a Jewish orphanage in Cleveland Ohio founded in 1868 as an orphanage for children who lost their parents in the Civil War, making it one of the oldest orphanages in the US. The orphanage was established by the Midwest division of B'nai B'rith, an international Jewish social service organization. B'nai B'rith purchased a building that had been built by Dr Seele as the Cleveland Water Cure Establishment in 1848. This building originally "was a combination sanitarium and resort for the treatment of various ailments and diseases through hydropathy" "enjoying regional popularity for nearly 2 decades", before being sold in 1868 to the B'nai B'rith organisation, and initially being called the Jewish Orphan Asylum.From 1868 to 1918, the Jewish Orphan Asylum "was the home for 3,581 mostly immigrant eastern European boys and girls. Established originally to serve orphaned and destitute Jewish youngsters from 15 midwestern and southern states", and "was located on over seven acres of land near Fifty-fifth Street and Woodland Avenue." In 1919, as part of the transformation to a more humane place to live, the name was changed to Jewish Orphan Home. "In 1929 the orphanage was relocated to a 30-acre (12 ha) site in University Heights, an eastern suburb of Cleveland, where it was built as a cottage-type orphanage and renamed Bellefaire. Bellefaire continued as an orphanage for Jewish children until 1943, when it became a residential treatment center for emotionally disturbed children".

Hathaway Brown, commonly referred to as HB, is an all-girls private school located in Shaker Heights, Ohio. The school serves pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students.Hathaway Brown is a member of the National Coalition of Girls' Schools, National Association of Independent Schools, and Cleveland Council of Independent Schools.

The First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland is an historic Baptist church in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Founded in 1833, it was the first Baptist church in the Cleveland, Ohio area and is the fourth oldest church in Cleveland. Founded in 1833, the church is a congregation of the American Baptist Churches, USA and the Cleveland Baptist Association of Churches. It is in partnership with the Greater Cleveland Congregations.

Warrensville–Shaker station is a station on the Green Line of the RTA Rapid Transit in Shaker Heights, Ohio, located in the median of Shaker Boulevard (Ohio State Route 87) on the west side of Warrensville Center Road.

Courtland station is a stop on the RTA light rail Green Line in Shaker Heights, Ohio, located in the median of Shaker Boulevard (Ohio State Route 87) at its intersection with Courtland Boulevard, after which the station is named.

Belvoir station is a stop on the light rail Green Line of the RTA Rapid Transit in Shaker Heights, Ohio. It is located in the wide landscaped median of Shaker Boulevard (Ohio State Route 87) at the intersection of Belvoir Boulevard on the north side and Belvoir Oval on the south side.

Eaton station is a stop on the RTA light rail Green Line in Shaker Heights, Ohio, located in the median of Shaker Boulevard (Ohio State Route 87) at its intersection with Eaton Road, after which the station is named.

Regina High School was a private, Catholic all-girls high school located in South Euclid, Ohio. It was run by the Sisters of Notre Dame, who also run Notre Dame College, which is located next door. It was a part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. Approximately one fifth of the teachers were nuns; the remaining teachers were both male and female lay persons. The school offered the students the ability to grow in an environment that supported them and encouraged them to be who they are. The school announced in October 2009 that the 2009-2010 school year would be its last. Regina's last day of classes was June 4, 2010.

West Green station is a station on the Green Line of the RTA Rapid Transit in Shaker Heights, Ohio. It is located at the western end of the parking lot shared with Green Road station, only 150 yards (140 m) west of Green Road platforms. The station is designed to provide convenient boarding for riders who park in the western end of the parking area.
