Northboro Park Historic District

The Old Northwood Historic District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on April 14, 1994) located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The district is bounded by Broadway, North Dixie Highway and 26th and 35th Streets. It contains 320 historic buildings.

45th Street is a proposed Tri-Rail Coastal Link Green Line station in West Palm Beach, Florida. The station is planned for construction at 45th Street between Greenwood Avenue and Pinewood Avenue, just west Broadway (US 1).

The Hurricane of 1928 African-American Mass Burial Site (also known as Pauper's Cemetery) is a pauper's cemetery and mass grave in West Palm Beach, Florida. It is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The cemetery is situated near the junction of 25th Street and Tamarind Avenue between I-95 and U.S. Route 1. The site is the location in which 674 bodies of African Americans or those of an unknown race were buried following the 1928 Okeechobee hurricane, while most of the white victims of the storm received a proper burial at Woodlawn Cemetery due to segregation laws. Established in 1913, the property of the pauper's cemetery currently includes approximately 1.03 acres (0.42 ha) of land. Although the site is located at the southwest corner of 25th Street and Tamarind Avenue, 25th Street was paved above the northern portion of the mass grave in the 1950s, unearthing a number of bodies in the process. After the 1928 hurricane, the bodies buried at that location became mostly forgotten by the public. The city of West Palm Beach sold the land and it changed ownership several times into the 1980s. Beginning in 1991, a movement to convince the city of West Palm Beach to repurchase the property began, which succeeded in December 2000. On September 12, 2002, it was added to the US National Register of Historic Places.

Pleasant City is a neighborhood in West Palm Beach, Florida north of 15th Street, and east of Dunbar Village and the Florida East Coast Railway. Established in 1905 and incorporated into the city limits in 1912, it was developed for African-American workers who were employed at area hotels and other businesses.

La Querida ("the dear one"), also known as Castillo del Mar ("castle by the sea") for several years, is a residence in Palm Beach, Florida, located at 1095 N. Ocean Boulevard. Completed in 1923, it was built in the Mediterranean Revival-style by well-known architect Addison Mizner at a cost of $50,000. The home is most notable for serving as the "Winter White House" during the presidency of John F. Kennedy. As of 2015, La Querida contains over 15,000 sq ft (1,400 m2) of living space, including eleven bedrooms, twelve bathrooms, and three half-bathrooms. Originally constructed for department store fortune heir Rodman Wanamaker, the prominent Kennedy family owned La Querida for more than 60 years, often using the residence as a winter retreat. As president-elect of the United States, John F. Kennedy prepared most of his inaugural address, appointed some cabinet officials, and nearly faced an assassination attempt at La Querida. During Kennedy's presidency, he held a few official meetings at the home, including a discussion on the Alliance for Progress in 1963, less than a week before his assassination. Thereafter, La Querida occasionally became associated with some drinking incidents involving Senator Ted Kennedy and the 1991 rape trial of William Kennedy Smith. La Querida has been owned by a few other notable individuals since the Kennedy family sold the property in 1995, including businessman John K. Castle and real estate investor Jane Goldman. The current owners are Carl (founder of Panattoni Development Company) and Mary Jane Panattoni, who purchased the home in June 2020 for $70 million.

Dunbar Village is a 246-unit public housing community located within the North Tamarind neighborhood of West Palm Beach, Florida. The community is directly east of North Tamarind Avenue, and borders the neighborhoods of Pleasant City and Northwood Pines. It is named after the late 19th- and early 20th-century poet, Paul Laurence Dunbar. The community was built from 1939 to 1940 for African Americans, and is alike to Liberty Square and Edison Courts in Miami for its "army barracks" configuration. Constructed shortly after the passage of the Housing Act of 1937, the community is one of the first public housing in the state of Florida. The community had received significant attention after an assault and rape within the premises that occurred on June 18, 2007. According to The Palm Beach Post and Associated Press, up to ten men had gang-raped a thirty-five-year-old woman for three hours and then forced her to perform oral sex on her twelve-year-old son, who was also beaten and doused with household chemicals. As of September 3, police have arrested four suspects, ranging in age from 14 to 18.However, the community reverted to its rather peaceful state months into the investigation. A security gate has been installed and numerous housing blocks have been boarded-up, awaiting demolition for upcoming redevelopment. When completed, the redeveloped community will have both mixed-income rentals and renovations to the current, historical housing blocks.

Mangonia Park is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It is a part of Uptown West Palm, which also includes Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach. The population was 1,888 at the 2010 census. As of 2018, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau was 2,017.

Good Samaritan Medical Center or Good Samaritan Hospital is a 333-bed acute care hospital located in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The Pine Ridge Hospital (also known as the Pine Ridge Apartments) is a historic hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida that served as a hospital during 1923 to 1956. It is located at 1401 Division Avenue. The hospital was designed by West Palm Beach architects Harvey & Clarke and is not special architecturally. The hospital building was deemed historically significant at a local level for its role as the sole hospital serving African-Americans in West Palm Beach in the period up to the ending of segregation in the 1960s. It "was a well-known institution among blacks throughout the South" during the 1920s and 1930s.: 7 On January 26, 2001, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.It is included in the Northwest Historic District.

Mangonia Park is a Tri-Rail commuter rail station in Mangonia Park, Florida. This is the system's northernmost station. The station is located on 45th Street (CR 702), just west of Australian Avenue (CR 704A). There are 273 parking spaces at the station.

Detachment Hotel (also known as "the Kennedy Bunker") is the name used to refer to a small 1,500-square-foot (140 m2) bunker complex on Peanut Island, Florida. It was originally designed for use by the President of the United States, specifically John F. Kennedy, in the event of a nuclear war. Constructed in 1960, the bunker was closed less than three years later, and its existence was declassified in 1974. From 1998 to 2017, it was open to the public as a historic site.

The Tabernacle Baptist Church is located at 801 8th Street, West Palm Beach, Florida. It was founded in 1893 as Mount Olive Baptist Church. From 1894 to 1896, it housed the first public school for blacks in Palm Beach County. The current building was built in 1925 in the neo-Romanesque Revival style.: 57
