Osceola Township, Osceola County, Michigan

Evart ( EHH-vərt) is a city in Osceola County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,742 at the 2020 census. The city lies on the northern edge of Evart Township and is partially within neighboring Osceola Township, although the city is administered autonomously.

Evart High School is a high school located in Evart, Michigan. The athletic teams are known as the Wildcats.

Evart Municipal Airport (ICAO: K9C8, FAA LID: 9C8) is a public airport located 1 mile (2 km) west of Evart in Osceola County, Michigan, United States. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a general aviation facility.The airport has generated controversy over the amount of tax money it receives as part of the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems despite having so few flights, based aircraft, hangars, or employees. However, when the airport first applied for funding, the Michigan Department of Transportation said that the City of Evart had justified the need for funds to build out facilities such as hangars to attract more flights.The airport is home to a variety of non-aviation events such as car meets, flea markets, and annual 4th of July fireworks shows.

Evart Township is a civil township of Osceola County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,513 at the 2000 census. The city of Evart is located on the northern edge of the township, but is administratively autonomous.

Townline Lake is a 73-acre (300,000 m2) lake located in Mecosta County near the City of Big Rapids, Michigan. It is located in Colfax Township and Big Rapids Township. It has a maximum depth of 50 feet (15 m). Grass Lake (Private-approximately 6 acres) is located in the NW section of Townline Lake and has an outlet which feeds Townline Lake. The outlet from Townline feeds Enzo Creek, which ultimately feeds into Ryan Creek. Fish species include bass, bluegill, northern pike, and crappie.

Enzo Creek Nature Sanctuary, named after the creek that divides the sanctuary North to South, is a 150-acre (0.61 km2) privately managed wildlife sanctuary located in Mecosta County, Michigan near the city of Big Rapids. The objective of the sanctuary is to enhance the habitat of the sanctuary for the benefit of the fish and wildlife which live within or migrate through the sanctuary.

The Fairman Building is a commercial building located at 102-106 South Michigan Avenue in Big Rapids, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
