Odawa Casino Resort is a Northern Michigan casino resort. Located in Resort Township near Petoskey, Michigan, the casino opened for business on June 20, 2007. It is owned and operated by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. The resort replaced Victories Casino in 2007, which had served as the tribe's casino until the new resort was opened. In addition to gaming, Odawa Casino Resort features multiple restaurants and retail outlets, a concert venue (Ovation Hall), a nightclub (The O Zone Nightclub), and a circular lounge bar in the middle of the gaming floor (Rendezvous). The resort also includes a AAA Diamond rated Hotel. Full shuttle transportation is available to all resort guests. Odawa Casino Resort is open to guests of all ages, however, the casino's gaming floor and the O Zone Nightclub are restricted to those of age 21 and older. Starting in 2011, the minimum gaming age at Odawa Casino Resort has been approved to be lowered to 19 years old. In 2020, the buffet was closed during the COVID-19 pandemic with no plans to reopen as of October 2023. On January 1, 2023, the gaming returned to 21, and guests under 21 can only visit the restaurants and cannot step onto the gaming floor.

WMBN ("Michigan's Beautiful North") is an AM radio station broadcasting at 1340 kHz in Petoskey, Michigan, United States. The station, owned by MacDonald-Garber Broadcasting, airs Fox Sports Radio format of sports. WMBN went on the air in April 1947 and is the oldest continuously operating radio station still on the air in Petoskey, though its claim of being "Petoskey's first radio station" is technically incorrect since it was preceded on the air by the short-lived WBBP in the 1920s. The station was founded by Les Biederman and, along with WTCM and WTCM-FM in Traverse City, WATZ in Alpena, and the now-defunct WATC in Gaylord, was affiliated with his "Paul Bunyan Network." It was later sold to MacDonald Broadcasting and then spun off into MacDonald-Garber Broadcasting. The station bore the call letters WWPZ (known as simply "WPZ" on the air) from 1980 to 1992 and had a very wide-ranging, eclectic pop/rock music format similar to today's Variety Hits concept. The station also aired Detroit Tigers baseball during this time. In 1992, the station returned to the WMBN calls and shifted to Westwood One's "AM Only" format of "Original Hits of the '40s, '50s and '60s," which has evolved over the years into the current "America's Best Music" product. Is an affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, and University of Michigan Football and Basketball. As of January 2, 2012, WMBN dropped music programming entirely and became a sports talk station broadcasting the Fox Sports Radio format, in simulcast with sister station WKAD 93.7 FM in Cadillac.

Walloon Lake is a glacier-formed lake located in Charlevoix and Emmet counties, just southwestward from the northern tip of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. It is now home to many vacation homes and cottages. Though the end of the west arm of the lake is less than 1 mile (1.6 km) from Lake Michigan, Walloon Lake's surface elevation is over 100 feet (30 m) higher. The Bear River drains from the east end of the lake in Walloon Lake village, winding east then north down to its outflow into Lake Michigan at the south end of Petoskey.

The Sarah Pennington House is a private house located at 719 Maple Street in Petoskey, Michigan. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.The Sarah Pennington House is a 1+1⁄2-story frame Queen Anne structure with a front roof gable. The gable end on the front facade has an elliptical arch seen in Colonial Revival and Shingle Style designs. Below the gable is a single story polygonal bay window with a hipped roof. The entrance is located on the side of building, through a projecting entrance bay. The house has one-over-one wood-framed window units capped with cornices.The Sarah Pennington House was constructed some time before 1902. When built, the house was a twin of the structure next door, which implies it may have been erected by a builder as a speculative investment. By 1917 it was owned by Sarah Pennington. Pennington was widowed and used the house to take on boarders.

Grace Methodist Episcopal Church is a historic church located at 625 Connable Street in Petoskey, Michigan. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.The church was constructed between 1903 and 1908.The Grace Methodist Episcopal Church is a single-story frame church building with a gabled roof. It has a projecting, gable-roof entrance vestibule in the front. The side walls contain wood-framed two-over-two windows with a simple cornice above. The gable of the entrance vestibule is clad with wood shingle, and the remainder of the walls of the building are sided with clapboard. Two small windows flank the main entrance.

The Ernest Hemingway Cottage, also known as Windemere, was the boyhood summer home of author Ernest Hemingway, on Walloon Lake in Michigan, United States. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1968.

The John Kabler House is a private house located at 415 Jackson Street in Petoskey, Michigan. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.The John Kabler House is a 1+1⁄2-story bungalow with a front porch supported by piers. The building is clad with clapboard, and the eaves of the roof are exposed. The windows have vertical panes above single lights.The house was constructed in the 1920s, and is associated with John Kabler, who worked at the Northern Michigan Pulp Company.

The Hosman and Wheeler Meat Market is a small commercial structure located at 621 Ingalls Avenue in Petoskey, Michigan. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.The Hosman and Wheeler Meat Market is a single-story frame Italianate gable roof commercial structure. The facade has a false front topped with a simple bracketed cornice and an entry door at the base. The building is clad with wooden clapboards.The Hosman and Wheeler Meat Market is characteristic of the sort of small retail businesses which have been located in Petoskey's residential neighborhoods. It is associated with the Hosman and Wheeler Meat Market, which operated at this location since the 1890s. It has also been used by the city as a storage facility and a polling place.

St. Francis Solanus Mission is a historic mission on W. Lake Street in Petoskey, Michigan. It is the only existing building in the Arbre Croche district dating from the time of Bishop Frederic Baraga, and is the oldest building still standing in Petoskey, as well as one of the oldest in northern lower Michigan. The mission was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The A. Malin House is a private house located at 54 Bridge Street in Petoskey, Michigan. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.The A. Malin House is a two-story frame Queen Anne house with an intersecting gable roof. A front gable faces the street and a shed roofed side porch covers two entrances. A rear porch fills the angle between the gables, and a single story addition projects to the rear. The windows are one-over-one units with simple cornices.The A. Malin House was constructed some time before 1899, when A. Malin lived here. By 1903, Robert Kepsel and Peter Myers, a laborer, live in the house. Charles Rice, a cook, moved in by 1917 and lived here until at least 1926.

It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.The Jacob Miller House is a two-story, cross-gabled frame Queen Anne structure with a single story addition in the rear. The front facade has a hip-roof, wrap-around porch supported by Doric columns. The house is sheathed with clapboard, with the gables covered with ornamental fish-scale shingles.The Jacob Miller House was constructed in 1903, and is a well-preserved characteristic example of the Queen Anne style house constructed in Petoskey. It is associated with the carpenter Jacob Miller, who lived in the house for many years.
