Bella Center Copenhagen

Amager Vest (English:West Amager) is one of the ten administrative districts of Copenhagen Denmark. It located on in the north-western part of the island of Amager, the largest island in the Øresund. The district is bordered by Amager Øst to the east along Amagerbrogade, the main shopping street and thoroughfare of the part of Copenhagen. Amager Vest is the largest of the ten new official administrative districts of Copenhagen, but has at the same time the smallest population. Only the most northern part can be considered as "urban area". Amager Vest includes Islands Brygge, Ørestad, Sundbyvester and Eberts Villaby as well as the extensive meadow and wetlands of Kalvebod Fælled. The western part of Amager island is mainly an enlargement from shallow parts of the Øresund. The extension of western Amager began around 1930 and was finished around 1955. The main purpose was to give shelter to the southern parts of Copenhagen harbour. The enlargement is filled with rocks, sand from the sea, plaster and waste. Consequently the soil is too poor for agricultural matters. The overall condition of the soil makes it very expensive to set up buildings there. The exhibition centre Bella Center (which hosted the environment meeting COP15 in December 2009) is one of very few exceptions from this.

Bella Center station is a rapid transit station on the Copenhagen Metro. It is served by the M1 line. The station is elevated from ground level and opened on 19 October 2002. It is located in fare zone 3 and named after the Bella Center, a congress center located to the west of this station.

Mountain Dwellings (Danish: Bjerget) is a building in the Ørestad district of Copenhagen, Denmark, consisting of apartments above a multi-story car park. The building was designed by the Danish architectural practice PLOT (BIG+JDSA). The apartments scale the diagonally sloping roof of the parking garage, from street level to 11th floor, creating an artificial, south facing 'mountainside'. Each apartment has a "backyard" on the roof of the property in front and below it. The resulting courtyard penthouses are an attempt to balance "the splendours of the suburban backyard with the intensity of an urban lifestyle". Throughout the building, it plays on a mountain metaphor as well as the clash between the urban vibe of the interior parking space as well as the surroundings and the peaceful and organic hillside.

VM Houses is a housing project consisting of two adjacent apartment buildings in Ørestad, Copenhagen, Denmark. Designed by JDS Architects and Bjarke Ingels Group, the M House with 95 units was completed in 2004 and the V House with 114 units, in 2005.

The Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority (Danish: Trafikstyrelsen) is the Danish government agency responsible for regulating, planning and safety relating to public transport in Denmark. The agency also acts as an advisor towards the ministry related to policy and strategic development in transport. It further acts as the administrator of the government's procurement of ferry and rail transport through public service obligations and collects and publishes statistics related to public transport. The agency was reorganised on 14 April 2010. It was from 2010 to 2021 a part of the larger Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Authority (Danish: Trafik-, Bygge- og Boligstyrelsen). By royal resolution on 23 January 2021, the Ministry of the Interior and Housing was established, and the authority's areas of responsibility for housing and construction were transferred to the newly established Danish Housing and Planning Authority and the authority's name was changed to Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority.

The Embassy of the Philippines in Copenhagen is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Denmark. Opened in 2019, it is located at the first floor of 13 Arne Jacobsen Avenue (Danish: Arne Jacobsens Allé 13) in the Ørestad district of Copenhagen, near Ørestad Station and opposite the Field's shopping mall.

Ørestad High School (Danish: Ørestad Gymnasium) is a public gymnasium in the Ørestad district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is noted for its innovative architecture, favouring open studying environments instead of traditional class rooms, and for its media-oriented profile focusing on media, communications, and culture. All teaching materials are digital.

Field's is a shopping centre in Ørestad, Copenhagen, close to the E20 motorway and Ørestad Station on the Copenhagen Metro. At 115,000 m2, it is the second-largest mall in Denmark after Waves, and one of the largest in Scandinavia. It is owned by Steen & Strøm Danmark A/S and was designed by C. F. Møller Architects, Evenden and Haskolls.

On 3 July 2022, a man opened fire at the Field's shopping mall in Copenhagen, Denmark, killing three people and critically wounding four others. A suspect, a Danish man, was arrested after the shooting; he had a history of contact with the psychiatric healthcare system. According to police, there are no indications that the shooting was terrorism. The suspect has been charged with three murders and seven attempted murders. The mass shooting is the first in Denmark since the 2015 Copenhagen shootings.

Ørestad station is a junction station served by both the Copenhagen Metro and regional trains in Copenhagen, Denmark. The penultimate stop of the M1 Line, it is located in zone 3 in the west-central section of the island of Amager.

Ørestad (Danish pronunciation: [ˈøːɐˌstæð]) is a developing city area in Copenhagen, Denmark, on the island of Amager. The area was developed using the new town concept, closely linked with the M1 line of the Copenhagen Metro. Economically, income for the plan would be generated by selling the public-owned, unused land for development, thus financing the construction of the metro, and contrarily, metro access was deemed necessary for making development attractive. While the metro is the primary public transport access, the area is also served by the Øresund Line between Copenhagen and Malmö, the motorway E20 and close to Copenhagen Airport. Ørestad was originally planned to consist of four districts, however only three are developed: Ørestad Nord, the unbuilt Amager Fælled area (which will remain a nature reserve), Ørestad City and Ørestad Syd. Therefore, Ørestad in reality consists of two areas detached from each other. The northernmost Ørestad Nord area is coherent with inner Copenhagen. Many Copenhageners will often only regard the outlying area, the two southern districts around Ørestad Station and Field's shopping centre, as Ørestad proper. Ørestad is neighbouring the nature areas of Amager Common and Vestamager which consist mainly of land reclaimed in the first half of the 20th century, with wetlands, bushes and self-grown small woods. These recreational areas, as well as Ørestad itself and the surrounding island, are almost entirely flat. Some notable institutions in Ørestad are the DR Village (headquarters of the national Danish broadcaster DR), Copenhagen Concert Hall designed by Jean Nouvel, Field's (the largest shopping mall in Denmark), Bella Center (the largest exhibition and conference center in Scandinavia) and Bella Sky Hotel, the largest hotel in Scandinavia. Of these, Bella Center existed before the concept of Ørestad.
