Suryachaur

Sangla is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Tarakeshwar Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2,625 people living in 515 households.

Jhor waterfall is located in the northern hills of Kathmandu near Tokha. The stream from Shivapuri National Park feeds the waterfall. The waterfall is about 11 km from Ring Road (Samakhusi Chowk) from Samakhushi. There is a temple of Shiva near the waterfall which opens on Saturdays and Mondays. There is also a zipline near the waterfall that was constructed to boost the tourism.The waterfall is close to the city, hence it attracts people from Kathmandu, especially during the summer. The area is underway a tourism development project. A children park has been constructed a couple of hundred meters below the actual waterfall site.

Kavresthali is a town and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Tarakeshwar Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3,034 and had 581 households in it.

Tarakeshwar " तारकेश्वर " is a municipality in Kathmandu District in Bagmati Province of Nepal that was established on 2 December 2014 by merging the former Village development committees Dharmasthali, Futung, Goldhunga, Jitpurphedi, Kavresthali, Manmaiju and Sangla. The office of the municipality is that of the former Dharmasthali village development committee.

Samundradevi is a village development committee in Nuwakot District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3965.

Jitpurphedi is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Tarakeshwar Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 5,135 and had 1,103 households in it.It is exactly located on northern part of Kathmandu, below Tarkeshwor Temple (One of the Hindu temple).

Phutung is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Tarakeshwar Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 4,792 living in 1,064 households.Although the etymological roots of the word “phutung” is unknown, the word is perhaps related to Tibeto-Burman kirati root meaning “subsidiary”. Accordingly, if its kirati root is true, the name may date back to 500 BC during the era when Tibeto-Burman speaking kirati people ruled the Kathmandu Valley. The village is the source of name for a technological research institute named Phutung Research Institute for the word rhymes with word photon, the name for the smallest packet of electromagnetic energy.

Rajdevi (Nepali: राजदेवी) is a municipality in Rautahat District, a part of Province No. 2 in Nepal. It was formed in 2016 occupying current 9 sections (wards) from previous 9 former VDCs. It occupies an area of 28.21 km2 with a total population of 31,212.

Kavresthali is a small town in Tarakeshwor Municipality Kathmandu District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 4,774 and had 1,007 houses.Kavresthali is in the northern side of Kathmandu valley and is 3 km (ward office located at 5.5 km.) away from ring road. It lies in the lap of Shivapuri National Park.

Dharmasthali is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Tarakeshwar Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 6,530 and had 1,421 households in it.Dharmasthali is popular for its religion & culture of its native Newa village, and Mahankal temple on the top of a hillock and is only four kilometers from Balaju Ring Road. You can also find Buddhist stupa in Dharmasthali. The popular festival of Dharmasthali is on Panha Chahre also commonly known as Ghode Jatra for 5 days. Dharmasthali has also been mentioned in the Gosainkunda, Silu poem. It has been mentioned that Dharmasthali used to be a place of homestay for the pilgrims travelling to Gosainkunda. Dharmasthali Village Development Committee Consists of 9 wards. Dharmasthali consists of the natives Newa. The main communities are Newa, chettri, and Brahmin. There are about 600 of Newa's and 500 houses of timilsina family .
