V.S. Niketan Higher Secondary School is located in Minbhawan Kathmandu, Nepal and schools above 40,000 students. V.S. Sirutar (Nepali: सिरुटार) is a town located in Bhaktapur District . It comes under Suryabinayak Municipality. Sirutar is a town and is situated in ward 1 of Suryabinayak Municipality in Bhaktapur District in Province no 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 4,598 in it.Sirutar extends from East to west in the Southern territory of Bhaktapur district. This town resembles "P" shape of the English alphabet. It is almost 4 km from Bhaktapur nagar and is 9 km from the Kathmandu city. Sirutar is situated about 1,300 meters above the sea level. This town lies in between Bhaktapur and Lalitpur district. Dadhikot lies in the east of this, Balkot and Tikathali in the west, Dadhikot and Balkot in the North, and Lamatar, Lubhu and Tikathali in the South.The name "Sirutar" came from two names in Nepali – "Siru" meaning a kind of plants with hard stem that grow in dry lands and "tar" meaning a dry land that is suitable for the growth of plants like Siru. That being said, Sirutar is a dry, barren land that does not have proper irrigation and is covered by Siru. An anecdote supports this naming: long time back, this place had thick human settlement compared with the neighboring villages; the lands were also fertile that gave good amount of crops. There was a king's palace with a beautiful garden protected with compounded walls. This place was thus also called Swaga in Newari language, meaning a garden. A group of Newars worked in the palace. Later, the people from this place started migrating for some sudden reasons and the fertility of the lands also diminished. Sati out of anger cursed this place to only let Siru grow. Hence, Siru started to grow here. However, no inscriptions and scriptures are found to prove this anecdote.In winter, the temperature reaches up to 2-10°C and in summer, it reaches up to 21-32°C.Majority of the population in this VDC are Hindu; there are temples of Mahadev, Bhairav, Ganesh, Saraswati, Balkumari, and Devi.

Siddhipur is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Mahalaxmi Municipality in Bagmati Province of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 6147 (Male: 2888; Female: 3259) living in 1484 individual households. Siddhipur is a typical Newari community (87.49% of total population) where the spoken language is Newari (85.46% spoke Newari). The main occupation of the people living in this region is agriculture. Most of the people fully depend on the agriculture for their living. Siddhipur is also famous for sukul, which is a kind of handmade mat made of hay, a locally available material.

Anant English School is a co-educational private school located in Anant Chowk of Siddhipur, Mahalaxmi municipality, in the district of Lalitpur. It is a secondary school affiliated with NEB Board and PABSON. The school was established in 2048 BS. It has approximately 500 students.

Lubhu (Nepal Bhasa: लुभू) is a place that is part of Mahalaxmi Municipality in Bagmati Province of central Nepal. Lubhu is a sub-urban Newar location situated seven kilometers east of Kathmandu in northern part of Lalitpur, Nepal.

Tikathali is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Mahalaxmi Municipality in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. After the restructuring of local political bodies it has been integrated to form a new municipality named 'Mahalaxmi Municipality'. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4094 living in 711 individual households.

Balkot (Nepali: बालकोट) is located in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Province of central Nepal. In 2015, it was merged with Sirutar, Gundu and Dadhikot to form Anantalingeshowr Municipality. In March 2017, under new local level restructuring, Anantalingeswor Municipality was merged with Suryabinayak Municipality. Currently, former prime minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli lives in Balkot. The 2011 Nepal census shows it had a population of 15,881 with 3,999 houses.

On 25 September 2011, Buddha Air Flight 103, a Beechcraft 1900D commuter aircraft, crashed near Lalitpur, Nepal, while attempting to land in poor weather at nearby Kathmandu Airport. All 19 passengers and crew on board were killed. The aircraft, operated by Buddha Air, was on a sightseeing flight to Mount Everest.

About 8 km south-east from the capital of Kathmandu, Nepal on the way to Godawari, Lalitpur, there is a historically renowned village named Harisiddhi, where the Temple of Harisiddhi is located. The temple is at the height of about 4,400 ft from the sea level, whose latitude is 270˚38' north and longitude is 850˚21' east. About 800m west from the temple, there is a river named Karmanasha (Kodku). The climate at this place is normal i.e. hot in summer and cold in winter. The temple is surrounded by the residential area. There is a pond to the south-east direction of the temple which is believed to be one of the important holy-ponds i.e. Kunda.

Godamchaur is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Godawari Municipality in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3868 in 645 individual households. It has 9 small wards in this village development committee. Saathali (ward 6) is mostly inhabited by Newars.

Imadol (इमाडोल) is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Mahalaxmi Municipality in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. It lies to the southeastern quarter of Patan, to the southeast of Kathmandu. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 27,327 living in 6,898 individual households. Until 2015, Imadol was a Village Development Committee. Imadol borders Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City (Patan) to the northwest, Greater Kathmandu to the north, Madhyapur Thimi to the northeast, Tikathali to the east, Sidhdipur to the southeast, Harisiddhi to the south and Dhapakhel to the southwest. Historians have documented that Imadol was visited by Emperor Ashoka in ancient times and his influence can be seen in the Ashoka stupas in the area.
