Willington is a census-designated place (CDP) in McCormick County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 177 at the 2000 census.

Guillebeau House is a historic home located in Hickory Knob State Resort Park near Willington in McCormick County, South Carolina. It was built in about 1764 and is a double-pen log house with one exterior chimney and two front entrances. It has a full-width, shed-roof porch. Built by Andre Guillebeau (1739-1814) shortly after his arrival at the French Huguenot settlement known as New Bordeaux, the house was moved to Hickory Knob State Resort Park in about 1983. Included in the original NRHP listing was the contributing family cemetery.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

John Albert Gibert M.D. House is a historic home located near McCormick in McCormick County, South Carolina. It was built about 1867, and is a two-story, frame, I-house embellished with Greek Revival style decorative elements. It features a full-height portico supported by massive Doric order masonry columns. Also on the property is a one-story frame outbuilding (c. 1900), originally a single dwelling, but which later served as a general store.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Hickory Knob State Resort Park is a state park located on the shores of Lake Strom Thurmond near the town of McCormick in McCormick County, South Carolina. It is the only resort park in the South Carolina State Park system.

Elijah Clark State Park is a 447-acre (1.81 km2) Georgia state park located in Lincolnton, on the western shore of Lake Strom Thurmond. The park is named for Elijah Clarke, a frontiersman and war hero who led a force of pioneers in Georgia during the American Revolution. A reconstructed log cabin displays colonial life with furniture and tools dating back to 1780. The park is also the site of the graves of Clark and his wife, Hannah. The park's location on the lake makes it popular with fishermen.

Baker Creek State Park is located adjacent to Lake Thurmond, near the town of McCormick in the county of McCormick, South Carolina. The park sits on land leased in 1967 from the US Army Corps of Engineers.Amenities in the park include two campgrounds, a lakefront pavilion, boat ramps for access to the lake and picnic shelters. The park is home to a nature trail where wildlife such as deer, waterfowl and wild turkeys can be observed. Mountain biking and hiking are popular activities on a 10-mile trail (16 km) that winds through the park.

McCormick County is a county located in the U.S. state of South Carolina. As of the 2020 census, its population was 9,526, making it the second least-populous county in South Carolina. Its county seat is McCormick. The county was formed in 1916 from parts of Edgefield, Abbeville, and Greenwood counties.

Dorn's Flour and Grist Mill is a historic grist mill located at McCormick in McCormick County, South Carolina. It was built circa 1898 and is a 2 1/2- story, red brick structure with projecting one-story wings. A three-story brick wall of cross-shaped plan was built in 1915 to support a water tower tank. The mill originally housed a cotton gin. In the 1920s, grist mill equipment was added. The mill closed in the 1940s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Cherry Grove Baptist Church Schoolhouse built c. 1910, is a rural African American school building in the vicinity of Washington, a city in Wilkes County, Georgia. This building is a rare surviving example of this genre of 20th century architecture, and it has importance to African American heritage. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places since June 23, 2020.

It first began broadcasting in Washington in 1970. It is currently owned by Cox Radio. Its studios are located in Bogart, and its transmitter is in Royston.
