The Taragaon Museum is a private art museum and library located in Kathmandu. It is located in the northern part of the city near the Bouddhanath stupa. It is situated on the ground of the Taragaon Regency hotel, which owns the museum. The museum is supported by The Saraf Foundation. The museum features a permanent collection in three of its building alongside Bodhisattva Gallery that displays Newa art, Pathivara Gallery that displays thangka paintings, and a contemporary art gallery.

Golden Peak High School (GPHS) is an English medium residential school established in 1991 with the sole determination of imparting pragmatic education to its students. It is situated at Saraswatinagar, Chabahil, Kathmandu.

Bouddha (Nepali: बौद्धनाथ; Nepal bhasa: खास्ति चैत्य; Standard Tibetan: བྱ་རུང་ཁ་ཤོར།, romanized: Jarung Khashor, Wylie: bya rung kha shor), also known as Boudhanath, Khasti Chaitya and Khāsa Chaitya is a stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal. Located about 11 km (6.8 mi) from the center and northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu, its massive mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal and the world. The stupa is said to entomb the remains of Kassapa Buddha. It is located on the ancient trade route from Tibet which enters the Kathmandu Valley by the village of Sankhu in the northeast corner and continues to the ancient and smaller stupa of Chabahil named Charumati Stupa (often called "Little Boudhanath"). It then turns directly south, heading over the Bagmati River to Lalitpur, bypassing the main city of Kathmandu (which was built later). Tibetan merchants have rested and offered prayers at Boudha Stupa for many centuries. Following the 1959 Tibetan uprising, a large number of the Tibetan refugees migrated to Nepal and settled down around Boudhanath. The influx of the Tibetan refugees has seen the construction of over 50 gompas (Budhhist monasteries) around Boudha. As of 1979, Boudha Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along with Swayambhu, it is one of the most popular tourist sites in the Kathmandu area.

Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery near Boudhanath, on the outskirts of Kathmandu, Nepal. It has ties to both the Kagyu and Nyingma schools, hence the combined Ka-Nying in the name. Shedrub Ling means “sanctuary for learning and practice.”

Gaurighat (Nepali: गौरीघाट) is an ancient Nepalese city at the Bank of Bagmati river in the Kathmandu Valley. Now a part of the Kathmandu District, Gaurighat is located in the northern side of Pashupatinath temple. Gaurighat hosts temples of Goddess Parvati and Kiranteswar Mahadev, the Kirant incarnation of Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is considered the principal deity of Nepalese Hindu cult. The shrine of Gaurighat consists of a Hanuman statue, a Ganesh statue and the most important of all - a statue of Goddess Parvati. The temple dedicated to Parvati is called the Guhyeshwari Temple. The bank of Bagmati river - considered the holiest river within the Kathmandu Valley, was (and is) among the major river banks to cremate the dead of the Hindu believers. The cremation ground is commonly referred to as Aryaghat.

Chabahil (Nepali: चाबहिल) (also Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 07) is an ancient neighborhood in northeast Kathmandu in Nepal. It is famous for its Licchavi stupa, called the Dhando Chaitya, considered by many historians to be the oldest Buddhist Stupa in the valley. Currently, Chabahil has become a thriving residential and commercial area of Kathmandu. Two of the most important temples in Kathmandu, Pashupatinath and Guhyeswari are situated very close to Chabahil. These two temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva and his consort Sati are considered to be more than a thousand years old.

Charumati Stupa (also known as Chabahil Stupa, and Dhan Dhoj Stupa) is a stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Guhyeshwari Temple (Nepali: गुह्येश्वरी मन्दिर), also spelled Guheswari or Guhjeshwari, is one of the revered holy temples in Kathmandu, Nepal. This temple is dedicated to Guhyeshwari or Adi Shakti. The temple is also a Shakti Peetha and it's about 1 km east of Pashupatinath Temple and is located on the southern bank of the Bagmati River. It is said that this temple is the Shakti chair of Pashupatinath Temple. It is an important pilgrimage destination for Hindus, especially for Tantric worshipers. King Pratap Malla renovated this temple in the 17th century. The goddess is also called Guhyekali. The temple's name originates from the Sanskrit words Guhya (secret, hidden, or cave) and Ishwari (goddess). Literally, the name "Guhyeshwari" stands for the goddess of the cave (गुफाको ईश्वरी) and the origin of the name aligns with the Hindu legend of Sati, her self-immolation when She turns into Adishakti, the Goddess of cosmic energy, at Daksha yagna. In Lalitha Sahasranama the 707th name of the Goddess is mentioned as Guhyarupini (The uncanny form of Goddess intimates that She is beyond human perception, and the invisible location where She resides allows Her to render justice impartially. Another belief is that it is the secret 16th syllable of the Shodashi Mantra) (LS 137th verse: Sarasvati shastramayi| Guhaamba guhyaruupini||). The main stotras dedicated to goddess are: Guhya Kali Sahasranama Stotra, Guhyakali Gadya Sanjeevana Stotram Guhyakali Mahavajra Kavacha StotramIt is one of the best place nearly to pashupatinath.

Manibandh Shaktipeeth also known as Manivedika Shaktipeeth or Rajarajeshwari Puruhuta Manivedic Shaktipeeth, is one of the 51 sacred Shaktipeeths in Hinduism. It is located in Pushkar, Rajasthan, near Ajmer, India. The temple is believed to mark the site where Goddess Sati's wrists (Manibandh) fell, as described in Hindu mythology. The temple is also known locally as Chamunda Mata Mandir and holds significant religious importance.

The Battle of Kathmandu (Nepali: काठमाडौंको युद्ध) or Siege of Kathmandu or Siege of Kantipur is a battle which occurred during the Unification of Nepal. It was fought in Kathmandu in 1768, and resulted in the defeat of its king Jaya Prakash Malla by conquerors Prithvi Narayan Shah, king of the adjoining Gorkha Kingdom. Shah's victory marked the establishment of the Shah dynasty in Nepal and the end of the rule of the indigenous Newars. The Newars, lost to the Gorkhalis who were expanding their kingdom.

Pashupati Aryaghat is a ghat located near Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu, Nepal. It is one of the most famous ghats in Nepal.

Pashupatinath Temple (Nepali: श्री पशुपतिनाथ मन्दिर) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Pashupati, and is located in Kathmandu, Nepal near the Bagmati River. This is currently the largest temple in the world as well as one of the Oldest Temple.This temple was classified as a World Heritage Site in 1979. This "extensive Hindu temple precinct" is a "sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati river", and is one of seven monument groups in UNESCO's designation of Kathmandu Valley. It is built on an area of 246 hectares (2,460,000 m2) and includes 518 mini-temples and a main pagoda house. The temple is one of the Paadal Petra Sthalams on the continent.
