The Timpanogos Storytelling Festival takes place Labor Day weekend at the end of each summer in Lehi, Utah. The festival draws a combined attendance of about 26,000 people each year, making it one of the largest storytelling festival in the United States. The festival typically lasts two days and invites professional storytellers from throughout the United States. In addition to daytime performances on Friday and Saturday, there are typically themed public performances in the evenings, such as Look Who's Talking, Bedtime Stories, My Favorite Stories, and Laughing' Night.

The Shops At Riverwoods is located at 4801 North University Ave. (US Highway 189) in Provo, Utah at the base of the Wasatch Mountains near the entrance to Provo Canyon. The Shops at Riverwoods is at the center of the Riverwoods Community, a 120-acre (0.49 km2) village containing 186,667 square feet (17,341.9 m2) of retail space, 143 residences, retail, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The Shops opened 8 August 1998 with a number of national retailers who have since left: Eddie Bauer, Copeland Sports, Gap, Banana Republic, Abercrombie & Fitch Co., and Ann Taylor. The shops went into foreclosure and were bought in 2009 by Tigriswoods, LLC. The Shops hosts both local and national retailers.The development is set in a riverfront environment designed to be community-centered. The Shops At Riverwoods have received various awards including: The Reed Smoot Beautification Award in 2006, The Grand Invision Utah Award in 2001, and The National Concrete Award in 1998.The property was designed by San Francisco–based Field Paoli Architects, which was awarded the 2001 Superior Achievement in Design & Imaging (SADI) for its design work on the project in the category of New or Renovated Open Centers. The Shops also feature sculptures by James C. Christensen.

The Cordner–Calder House at 305 S. 900 E. in Orem, Utah is a Victorian-style house which was built in 1894 by William Cordner and was expanded around 1910. The home is associated with two families, the Corders and the Calders, both of which were "prominent fruit growers on the Provo Bench" whose "participation and influence in the growth of Orem is reflected in this house".It was built on what was once part of a 160 acres (65 ha) tract patented by Irish immigrant Thomas Cordner in 1886. After Thomas' death, his fourth son, William, was deeded the 10 acre section portion of the land having the house in 1896 or 1902. It was later home of the Calders for many years.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. The listing included two contributing buildings: the house and a wash-house/cellar building behind.

Provo Canyon is located in unincorporated Utah County and Wasatch County, Utah. Provo Canyon runs between Mount Timpanogos on the north and Mount Cascade on the south. The canyon extends from Orem on the west end to Heber City on the east. Provo Canyon is situated to the east of Utah Valley and grants access to the valleys and Uinta Basin regions that lie beyond the Wasatch front.Through forces of erosion, the Provo River has carved out the canyon over time. Attractions in Provo Canyon include Vivian Park, Sundance, and Bridal Veil Falls. The canyon is known for both its natural attractions and practical uses. Deer Creek Reservoir serves as water storage for Salt Lake and Utah Valleys. Provo Canyon has served as a route of transportation between the valleys to the east and west of the Wasatch mountain range. The Heber Valley Historic Railroad operates passenger trains through the canyon. U.S. route 189 connects Provo and Orem with Heber City to the east. In early settlement, this route facilitated the settlement of communities to the east of the Wasatch Mountains.

Orem High School is a high school in Orem, Utah, part of the Alpine School District. It was originally built in 1956, and has since undergone major renovations. The old school building was torn down and a replacement was built in what was the former building's parking lot, in 2010.
