Sankhu

Pukhulachhi is a village and former Village Development Committee around the old Newari town of Sankhu that is now part of Shankharapur Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2,760 living in 430 households.

Indrayani is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Shankharapur Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2,635 and had 467 households in it. As per 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 3,361 and had 717 households in it.

Chhaling (Nepali: छालिङ) is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part (Ward-5) of Changunarayan Municipality in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 8,129 with 1,817 houses in it. It is situated at about a distance of 20 kilometers from the capital city of Kathmandu. The name "Chhaling" is believed to be derived from two words: "छाले गाउँ" ("Chhala"), meaning "skin", and "Gaun", meaning "village", as it was believed to be an area of animal skin and leather materials during the 18th century.Most of the inhabitants are Brahmins and Chhetris, but there is also a large population of "Sanyasi" (meaning "saints" or "sages") and few Newars too. There is also a small population of Mongolians who live at the top of a hill in Chhaling.During the ancient kirat and lichhavi dynasties, Chhaling was known as Gopal dranga under king Prathav Malla of Bishal Nagar. Chhaling has been a major route to one of the most popular tourist destinations near Kathmandu: Nagarkot. There are also a number of popular religious destinations, such as Panchamukhe Hanuman (also called Trisuldada), where the biggest copper trident in the world is believed to be located. Mahalaxmi Temple, Machhendranath and Manakamana Temple, and Panchamahalaxhmi Temple are also quite popular among the locals.

Changunarayan (Nepali: चाँगुनारायण) is a municipality in Bhaktapur District in the Province No. 3 of Nepal and is part of the urban agglomeration of the Kathmandu Valley. The municipality was created through the merger of the former Village development committees Old-Changunarayan, Chhaling, Duwakot and Jhaukhel in 2014. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census, the predecessors of Changunarayan Municipality had a population of 55,430. In 2017, the municipality of Mahamanjushree Nagarkot was merged into Changunarayan. The municipality is also home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Changu Narayan.

Changu Narayan is an ancient Hindu temple, located on a high hilltop that is also known as Changu or Dolagiri in Changunarayan Municipality of Bhaktapur District, Nepal. This hill is about 7 miles (or 12 km) east of Kathmandu and a few miles north of Bhaktapur. The Manohara River flows beside the hill. The temple is considered to be one of the oldest temples in Nepal. The temple is dedicated to lord Vishnu and is held in special reverence by the Hindu people. The temple was surrounded by champak tree forest and a small village known as Changu. A Kashmiri king is said to have given his daughter, Champak, in marriage to the prince of Bhaktapur. The temple is considered to be named after her.

Bajrayogini is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Shankharapur Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3,798 and had 632 houses in it. As per 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 4,333 and had 328 houses in it.

Bhadrabas is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Kageshwari-Manohara Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal, located approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of Kathmandu. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 2,388 and had 503 houses in it. The oldest high school in the eastern Kathmandu Valley, Adarsh Madhayamik Vidhalaya is located in Bhadrabas. The Nepal Red Cross Society is active in Bhadrabas and it has notable health centre. In 1984, a tobacco smoking World Health Organization questionnaire was given to the inhabitants of Bhadrabas to survey smoking trends in the country.Vertebrate fossil remains have been found northeast of the village.

The Nepalese Military Academy is a training institute for future officers of the Nepalese Army located at Kharipati, Bhaktapur. The mission statement of the academy is to "commission proficient platoon commanders, who are professionally capable of fulfilling their assigned responsibilities skilfully with vigour". It was founded on December 26, 1986.

Jhaukhel (Nepali: झौखेल) is a town and former village development committee that is now part of Changunarayan Municipality in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. This is one of the oldest places in Bhaktapur. As of 2012, the population was 16,918. Most people in this area are engaged in agriculture. About 80% of the inhabitants are Newar people. The remaining 20% includes the population of Chettri, Brahmin, Magar, Tamang, and many more.

Bageshwari (Nepali: वागेश्वरी)is a village and Village Development Committee in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 5,385 with 1,137 houses. There were 2,609 males and 2,776 females at the time of census.

Kageshwori Manohara Municipality (Kageshwori Nagarpalika, Nepali: कागेश्वरी मनोहरा नगरपालिका) was incorporated on Mangsir 16, 2071 (2nd Dec. 2014) as the decision of the council of ministers of Government of Nepal. It was formed by combining six village development committees: Gothatar, Mulpani, Danchhi, Bhadrabas, Alapot, and Gagalfedi. Kathmandu valley comprises three cities: Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur. Kageshwori Manohara is one of the municipalities situated at northeast of Kathmandu. Kageshwori-Manohara is a municipality in Kathmandu District in the Bagmati Province of Nepal that was established on 2 December 2014 by merging the former Village development committees of Aalapot, Bhadrabas, Danchhi, Gagalphedi, Gothatar and Mulpani. The office of the municipality is in Thali Danchhi in Ward No. 5.
