Nayapati

Baluwa (Nepali: बालुवा) is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Gokarneshwar Municipality in Kathmandu District in Bagmati Province of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 5,467 and had 1,204 houses in it. It is located at north-east side from the capital city of Nepal. It touch Nuwakot District to the north and Gorkna VDC to the south. In east side, there is Nayapati VDC and in west Kapan VDC. At the north side, Shivapuri – Nagarjun National Park is located which is the main source of fresh water for the resident of Kathmandu. Bagdwar is the origin of Bagmati river, the Pavitra Nadi (the Holy River) of Hindus. The capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu, is located at the bank of Bagmati River.

Kageshwori Manohara Municipality (Kageshwori Nagarpalika, Nepali: कागेश्वरी मनोहरा नगरपालिका) was incorporated on Mangsir 16, 2071 (2nd Dec. 2014) as the decision of the council of ministers of Government of Nepal. It was formed by combining six village development committees: Gothatar, Mulpani, Danchhi, Bhadrabas, Alapot, and Gagalfedi. Kathmandu valley comprises three cities: Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur. Kageshwori Manohara is one of the municipalities situated at northeast of Kathmandu. Bhadrabas is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Kageshwari-Manohara Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal, located approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of Kathmandu. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 2,388 and had 503 houses in it. The oldest high school in the eastern Kathmandu Valley, Adarsh Madhayamik Vidhalaya is located in Bhadrabas. The Nepal Red Cross Society is active in Bhadrabas and it has notable health centre. In 1984, a tobacco smoking World Health Organization questionnaire was given to the inhabitants of Bhadrabas to survey smoking trends in the country.Vertebrate fossil remains have been found northeast of the village.

Chunikhel is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Budanilkantha Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 4,449 living in 859 households. Chunikhel it has 15 VDC in total. It is located in 27°45'31.1"N 85°22'17.0"E just few kilometre away from heart of kathmandu. Chunikhel is gate for entering Shivapuri National park.

Danchhi is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Kageshwari-Manohara Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census, it had a population of 11,246 and had 2,593 households in it. Danchhi is now included in Kageswori Manohara Municipality. Danchhi/Thali is bounded by Bagmati and Manohara river. The major places include Thali/थली, Nayapati, Bhadrawas, Hariyalinagar, Dumakhal, and Gajarkot. The major government schools are Shree Sahid Aadarsha Uchha MaVi, Shree Kanti Bhairab MaVi, and Shree Chaulanarayan PraVi. Private schools include Miniland English High School, Mount Everest Secondary School, Pragya Sadan School, Alpine Academy, and Hindu Vidhya Peeth.In recent local election Krishna Hari Thapa was elected as the Mayor of the Municipality. He garnered 8,969 votes. He edged Nepali Congress’ Upendra Karki by 482 vote margin. Likwise, UML Bindu Simkhada was elected to the pose to deputy mayor of the same municipality. She received 9,182 votes. Meanwhile, UML clinched victory in ward number 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 9 while Nepali Congress won in ward numbers 2, 4 and 7 in the municipality. Kathmandu valley outer ringroad will pass through this place.

Gokarna Mahadev (The Gods of Gokarna) or Gokarneshwor Mahadev Temple (The Lord of Gokarna) is an important Nepali temple, situated near the village of Gokarna, several kilometers northeast of Bodhnath in the Kathmandu Valley. Within the temple's sanctum lies an important lingam of the Hindu god Shiva, but its fame relies mainly on the collection of statues and carvings around the temple.

Sundarijal is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Gokarneshwar Municipality in Kathmandu district in Province No. 3 of central Nepal.

Kageshwori-Manohara is a municipality in Kathmandu District in the Bagmati Province of Nepal that was established on 2 December 2014 by merging the former Village development committees of Aalapot, Bhadrabas, Danchhi, Gagalphedi, Gothatar and Mulpani. The office of the municipality is in Thali Danchhi in Ward No. 5.

Chapali Bhadrakali is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Budanilkantha Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 10,827 and had 2,574 households in it.

Gokarneshwor is a municipality in Kathmandu District in the Bagmati Province of Nepal that was established on 2 December 2014 by merging the former Village development committees Sundarijal, Nayapati, Baluwa, Jorpati and Gokarna. The office of the municipality is that of the former Jorpati village development committee. The river Bagmati has its origin as the name Bagh Dwar situated in the middle of the Shivapuri jungle in this municipality. In the village on the banks of the Bagmati River stands the Gokarna Mahadev temple, built in 1582. In late August or early September people go to this temple to bathe and make offerings in honor of their fathers, living or dead, on a day called Gokarna Aunsi.The Gokarna Forest Reserve is located in the area. Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital is located Southwest of Gokarneshwor.

Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park is the ninth national park in Nepal and was established in 2002. It is located in the country's mid-hills on the northern fringe of the Kathmandu Valley and named after Shivapuri Peak at 2,732 m (8,963 ft) altitude. It covers an area of 159 km2 (61 sq mi) in the districts of Kathmandu, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk, adjoining 23 Village Development Committees. In the west, the protected area extends to the Dhading District.
